Gail Stoney played by MICHELLE THRUSH

Michelle Thrush is an actor, writer, playwright, dancer, and director. Michelle was born in Calgary, Alberta and is Plains Cree. She is currently the artistic director of Crazy Horse Theatre Company in Calgary. She is an accomplished writer and director and her projects tour extensively.

Michelle started acting as a teenager after becoming an accomplished Pow Wow Dancer; she starred in the project Isaac Little Feathers and has close to 25 years of film and television experience behind her. Michelle was nominated for Best Actress at the American Indian Film Festival for her work on Don't Call Me Tonto, and won the Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role at the First Americans in the Arts Award for her work on Ebenezer.

Her series work includes regular roles on Madison, Moccasin Flats and Mixed Blessings, as well as recurring roles on North of 60 and Nothing to Good for a Cowboy. She was also the host of the CBC special First Stories. Her feature film work includes leading roles in Pathfinder, Unnatural and Accidental, Skins and Kootenai Brown.

She has an extensive theatre resume in both writing and performance, and tours all over Canada with her one-woman clown show for kids. She lists her greatest accomplishments as being the birth of her two children.
